Can you have too many video game memorabilia?

Just how many video game memorabilia can one person have?

Fifty? Eighty? Two hundred?

Well, it's probably limited by your financial ability and the space you have to fit all of them in. (And your partner's tolerance of you having a huge stash of them).

Brett Martin from Colorado, USA, is a 31 years old web designer who started collecting videogame memorabilia since approximately 12 years ago - 11 years after his parents gave him his first ever item, a Mario figurine.

Thanks to ebay, he has managed to boast a collection of 8,030 items of merchandise, with net worth > $100,000.

Guinness World Records has formally recognized him as having "the world's Largest Collection of Videogame Memorabilia".

The biggest problem he faces currently is actually having enough room to stock more items.

While many girls may not be happy with their boyfriend/husband having a collection of these, Mr Martin seems to be the lucky guy with a tolerant wife.

I am sure his kids will certainly not complain.
